AP World History and AP U.S. History Textbooks
AP World History and AP U.S. History TextbooksWhen writing a comparative essay, the addition of a student's AP World History textbook can make a huge difference in the quality of the final product. Some college students are even known to take their AP World History and AP US History books with them while they are on campus. It's not uncommon for students to bring their textbooks along when they travel on break. These textbooks may be full, so they are usually full of notes from class or reading assignments they have yet to complete.A student who can show superior knowledge of the basics of the AP U.S. History course can stand to benefit a great deal from using the AP World History textbook in his or her written piece. While most U.S. students cannot afford to purchase a complete set of world history textbooks, an individual student can sometimes find some bargain bin deals on used textbooks. If the student can find a college bookstore that is selling the course's textbook sets as par t of a package deal, he or she might be able to save money by purchasing a used textbook. However, the disadvantage to using a used book is that it can't be used in the future if a student wants to expand on his or her knowledge of the course. The former student who takes his or her AP world history and AP U.S. history course books with him or her while traveling is better off using a brand new, used textbook to write his or her comparative essay. A student can find a number of great used books from secondhand books stores or even auction sites such as eBay. Before buying an AP world history or AP U.S. history textbook, however, a student should always check the book for any damage and also for a full set of directions from the publisher. When looking for a new AP world history textbook, a student should first try the bookstore on which he or she will be using the book. The store might have a better selection of new textbooks than it does used books. If the storeis selling used books, the student should compare the price of a used book with that of a new one. Many students, however, will use their used textbooks to supplement their class syllabus. A student who knows every concept in his or her AP world history or AP U.S. history course should make certain to pay close attention to the direction of the student's textbook. The more a student's textbook follows the principles outlined in the syllabus, the better the student will feel about having studied the material adequately.A student can often purchase a used book through his or her college bookstore. This bookstore might have a much better selection of used textbooks than does the college bookstore on which the student will be using the book. While the bookstore may not have the highest number of used textbooks, it does offer some cheap textbooks to make up for it. If the bookstore has a good price, the student might as well go with it.If a student finds a used book online, he or she should only buy the textbo ok after checking it over. Some used books can be difficult to read. With the best used books, a student should be sure to check out every page of the book and make sure the book is still within its proper format. When the student is trying to decide between used books and new books, he or she should think of the student's needs and wants. Some students prefer to get a used book in order to learn all the concepts in their AP world history or AP U.S. history class before taking it again. Other students prefer to buy a new book because of their preference for newer books.
